In 2023 I decided to set a reading goal for myself to read one book a month. This may not seem like a lot when some people are reading 50 or even 100 or more books in year, but it’s something that worked for me. I wrote about it over on Medium along with reviews of each book. In putting those reviews together I realized how much I enjoyed writing about books and reading in general. Except I didn’t really have a place to put those pieces other than Medium. I decided they needed a home of their own, and here we are.

Literary Devices is a place where I’ll share my occasional, well, literary leaning thoughts.
